Our History
This is our story and who we are
1997
Project Works was established in Wrightsville Beach, initially focusing on the construction of decks, docks, piers, and bulkheads. The company soon expanded its services to include residential home improvements.
1998
Project Works began operations on Bald Head Island following a referral from a Wilmington-based window company. Project Works was contracted to install sliding glass doors in a home located in Timbercreek—its first project on the island. From that point forward, Project Works has worked exclusively on Bald Head Island.

Project Works is extremely professional, responsive, and courteous. We chose Project Works to renovate our newly purchased 30-year old Killegray Ridge home and it was one of the best customer service experiences I've had in recent memory. They delivered both on time and on budget and were a pleasure to work with. The process was smooth from start to finish, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. They are a full-service operation—renovating our home's three bathrooms and kitchen, as well as taking care of my smaller requests such as mounting our TV and washing all of our windows. Partially through the renovation process, we expanded the scope of the project to include the three bathrooms and they still finished on the original timeline in time for summer. Our project manager was extremely solutions-oriented. When the microwave I chose ended up being too large for our built-in cabinets, he researched other options and found a model that fit perfectly. He had great taste and I trusted his advice on what would look good and what was possible. Most importantly, even after the job was finished, Project Works has been a committed partner for the long term as unrelated issues have arisen. I would highly recommend Project Works to anyone!
